Comet Compass

HackAI Project • AI-Powered Campus Navigation • March 2026

Comet Compass is an AI-powered campus navigation assistant designed to help students and visitors find locations around UT Dallas more easily. The idea was inspired by the confusion many freshmen and international students experience when trying to navigate a large campus.

  • Designed as a smart navigation experience with a futuristic, student-friendly interface
  • Focused on combining AI guidance with campus wayfinding to make navigation more intuitive
  • Explored features such as interactive directions, visual guidance, and a conversational assistant experience
  • Built as a hackathon concept centered on usability, accessibility, and innovation

Gaussian Splatting Explorer

3D Visualization / Graphics Concept • Ongoing

This project explores Gaussian Splatting, a modern 3D rendering technique that represents scenes using millions of tiny 3D Gaussian ellipsoids instead of relying on traditional meshes or voxel grids. It reflects my interest in combining math, computation, and visualization in emerging technologies.

  • Studied how 3D scenes can be represented through scattered Gaussian primitives
  • Focused on the mathematical and computational ideas behind real-time scene representation
  • Connected concepts from geometry, modeling, and rendering to modern visualization methods
  • Demonstrated curiosity in graphics, spatial computing, and next-generation 3D reconstruction
